We will be going to the Angouleme festival this week end. We will be sharing table with No Comprendo Press at the Nouveau Monde pavilion. Participating artists from Jippi will be Martin Ernstsen, Sigbjørn Lilleeng, Karstein Volle and Lene Ask.
Syklus by Martin Ernstsen and Kilian Eng is a colorful vision from the future. In the short story we see both the end of the world and the worlds resurrection. With Kilian Engs detailed and poetic illustrations Martin Ernstsens turns the world as we know it, but the story has a lot of room for interpretations. Order it here.
Jippi will have a table at Stockholm International Comics Festival this week end. Sigbjørn Lilleeng and Kristian Hammerstad will be there presenting their new books Generator and Kryp. Rui Tenreiro will also be there presenting Museum and Høytiden. More information on the festival web site.
Also this year Jippi will be at the Mocca festival in New York. Max Estes will present his crooked trilogy as well as other Jippi publications.
Max Estes is out with his new crooked book, Det krokete sporet (The crooked track). As in his two previous books, this is a wordless and playful crime story. This time the story is set in snowy winter landscape. Order it from our shop.
The comics festival in Bastia in Corsica will take place next week-end. There will be a Norwegian exhibition there called Krøll. Severeral Norwegian artists will go as well, among others Jippi related artists as Jason, Martin Ernstsen and Lene Ask. Read more on the festival home page. The French language anthology, Blekk, will also be distributed on the festival. You can also get Blekk from the Norwegian embassy in Paris.

For the festival we have made a French language anthology, Blekk – bande dessiné norvègienne, together with the Norwegian Embassy in Paris. Among others you will find contributions by Tor Ærlig, Andrew Page, Lene Ask, Rui Tenreiro, Jason, Martin Ernstsen and Bendik Kaltenborn.
Martin Erntsen’s new book leads the reader in to a universe filled by strange characters and dreamlike landscapes. The story of the messenger, Kodok, is told in an untraditional and dynamic way, and is visually the most fulfilled graphical work from Martin Ernstsen so far. Issue number four of Angst is out. This brand new collection of the best Norwegian comics includes work from among others Jason, Rui Tenreiro, Bendik Kaltenborn, Lars Fiske, Tor Ærlig, Andrew Page , Flu Hartberg, Kristian Hammerstad and Tuva Synnevåg.
Jippi will be at the Mocca festival in New York April 9th and 10th. We will share table with fellow Norwegians in No Comprendo Press, and sell the new issue of our English language anthology Angst and other books as well.
