Max Estes
Max Estes (b. 1977) made two books for Top Shelf Productions before moving to Oslo in 2009. Both of the books, Hello, again (2005) and Coffee and Donuts (2006), combine stylish artwork with good storytelling.
In Oslo he works as an illustrator in addition to making comics. Den krokete kniv (The crooked knife) is his first full color book and was published in the spring 2010.
The follow up book Den krokete kanalen (The crooked canal) came in 2011, and this was a crime story as well, however this time situated in Amsterdam.
